Andy to Try Another Hat: Owner
A the calendar turns to February, itâs a new beginning in the racing career of Hampstead native Andy Seuss.
After spending most of last season as the car chief for Kaulig Racing on the NASCAR Cup Series, Seuss left that post to become co-owner of an ARCA Menards Series team, which will first compete on Feb. 18 at Daytona International Speedway.

Itâs official, Andy Seuss is heading to North Wilkesboro Speedway! Sept 30th. đ
Itâs always good when you save the best for last. Of course we wanted to compete for the win, but a long weekend of overcoming issues, and we were in our best position of the weekend when the checkered flag flew. ![]()
It was amazing to be back at the track after a year out of the racecar. Especially a track that means so much to me. It took a lot of effort in both time and resources to get there, but that made it even more sweet. ![]()
A part failure in practice left us unable to get any practice to see how the car would be. That also put us in a poor qualifying position, so we really didnât know how the car would be. After working out a few bugs, we started the race just working from our past setup. A long green flag run didnât let us pit and finally adjust on the car until 20 laps to go. In the last laps we made it from 18th up to 9th. It was a long way from 30th in practice, 21st in qualifying. I have to thank the whole crew for never giving up, and making sure we were always moving forward. To come away with a top 10 on the super competitive NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in our first race in a year shows how strong this team is. ![]()
I want to thank everyone that made it possible, from the long hours in the shop, to taking time to be there at the track. We absolutely could not be there without the help of Rockingham Boat, Kevin Lapierre and Acacia Energy, Todd and Jodi of Florida Safety Systems, Mike Holmes & Son Excavating, William Card of Auto Consultants of Ithaca, Erik Wolf with Lil Bâs Custom Cleaning LLC, KDW Property Maintenance, David Lee Lewis and all his help through Robert Yates Racing engines, LFR Chassis, Buzze Eacing, Racing Electronics, The Joie of Seating. ![]()
It was a great weekend of racing, but an even better to get to see our racing friends and family. With not being able to do this as often, Iâve learned to really enjoy and appreciate time at the track. And the best news, the car is in one piece! So hopefully we can do this a lot more moving forward! Hope to see you all soon!
Itâs been a year since I strapped into a racecar. ![]()
I donât think I realized how much I needed it. ![]()
Thank you to everyone that made it happen. ![]()
And it wasnât easy. Last year we were in a hole and it would have been easy to call it a career for our little race team. Blowing up 2 motors (one borrowed) was a big hit for us. Having people behind me making this happen is quite surreal. Iâll never be able to thank my amazing family enough for all the time, effort, and sacrifices made to make it happen. My unbelievable parents, my incredible wife, my endlessly supporting brother and sister, my two amazing kids and the greatest godmother ever, Candace Casey. I really am the luckiest guy youâll meet. And then, to have the support of Rockingham Boat, Kevin Lapierre and Acacia Energy, Todd and Jodi of Florida Safety Systems, Mike Holmes & Son Excavating, William Card of Auto Consultants of Ithaca, Erik Wolf with Lil Bâs Custom Cleaning LLC, KDW Property Maintenance, David Lee Lewis and all his help through Robert Yates Racing engines, LFR Chassis, Buzze Eacing, Racing Electronics, The Joie of Seating to make this happen is just amazing. ![]()
Today in practice a part failure kept us from getting up to speed but big thank you to everyone on the 70 team for staying after the task, and with the incredible help from David Lewis, we were able to narrow down the problem. Unfortunately, we didnât really get any practice so qualifying was our first laps up to speed, and since qualifying line up is reversed practice results, this forced us to go out in qualifying early, a big disadvantage. The car was tight but much better, we are optimistic about tomorrowâs race. ![]()
Thank you again to everyone that came together to make this happen, we hope to give you a show tomorrow!
